Welcome to Deep Emotions

A unique set of cards created by UK artist Rob Blackwell,  designed specifically to enhance therapeutic conversations. 

These 12 A6 cards are unnamed and open to interpretation. They invite clients to select images that resonate with them, fostering meaningful dialogue and deeper emotional exploration. This choice not only fosters communication but also offers therapists valuable insights into their clients’ feelings, enhancing empathy and understanding in the therapeutic process.

These cards are crafted using charcoal and graphite, reflecting Rob's own journey through art therapy. Working through his deep emotions that he often didn't have words to express. or the emotions were too painful to put into words without first releasing them and then having something to focus on. The cards emerged from my experience as a counsellor. Recognizing that traditional emotion cards often don’t resonate equally with clients. Collaborating with Rob, we aimed to develop images that resonate with both people on the neuro-diverse spectrum, and those who found too much colour overwhelming. Thus allowing clients to interpret and connect with the images on a personal level.
